Month End: May Snapshot

Next month, our world is about to change significantly again. We’re about to welcome our first son into the family. When you have a significant life event happening, it is ok to pause your aggressive debt pay down strategy. Life events can include marriage, a funeral, a new child, a job loss, or any significant event that affects your income. However, it is also important to keep your mental and emotional health in mind. If there’s any event that can affect you, then it’s important to slow down and rest. Your body isn’t designed to run at a full sprint. It’s better to move slowly before making any financial and or life decision. Staying at my current pace, the car loan should be paid off within the next two to three years. I’ve been approved for my new position, and I’ve begun taking steps for this new role, which involves taking classes and being tested. Taking tests, I realize I don’t have the patience to be in school. I’m looking forward to doing the more practical portion of the work vs. reading and taking exams. Does your debt free plan factor in life events?

This month’s video is Something’s Burning: Luke . . . I Mean Mark . . . You Are My Father from the Bert Kreischer YouTube channel.

“The LORD will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.”
