This month began my first true full month of training as a mortgage loan officer. I had the opportunity to drive down to Tallahassee and meet that team of that market, and I quickly realized I made the correct choice in my career path. The person I’m training under is not only knowledgeable, a proven producer but he is also patient & understanding. I also was able to catch up with my old friend and roommate Leo who is now a manager over a mortgage division at a local bank. A lot of this situation is reminiscent of when I first started in the mortgage industry almost 16 years ago, but it feels like starting all over again and my life feels reinvigorated. Unlike last time, this time I only have one debt to worry about. Looking back to my post from November 30, 2019, if you include the 2020 Hyundai Elantra car loan totaling ($20,025.00), our total debt is $102,382.42. This debt doesn’t include the mortgage. Even in this scenario, I’m staying focused on paying off the car. With the car paid off, it gives us the freedom to breathe and allows me to focus on production.
