At the end of October, we are focused on continuing to pay down our mortgage, and any monthly debt that carries. With rising costs, and identity theft being more rampant than in previous years, we use our credit cards for everyday purchases. Because we have 5x to 10x in savings, which is liquid meaning easily accessible, I feel more comfortable with carrying a monthly balance. I don’t like paying interest to someone else, but as I’ve been on my debt free journey, I’ve come to realize that there are three paths in everyone’s financial journey. One path involves not having any debt and carrying cash only, one believes in carrying small debt that can easily be paid off (aside from a mortgage), and the self-lending path.
Despite my financial journey, I feel like this coming election cycle is one of the most important in American history. I’ve listened to far more podcasts of varying degrees and content over the years, and so I hear many different points of view. Because I live in one of the greatest countries in the world, and as a citizen I’m blessed with the ability to vote. I’m going to vote.
