Pursuit of Excellence

At the end of September, I am now 42…… I never imagined being married with such a sweet and smart child. I never imagined going through the financial problems that I have been through, nor could I imagine my true-life story. I am still here. I’m thankful for my friendships, relationships, life experiences, and the creation of podcasts. If it weren’t for the Ramsey Show I wouldn’t know about the 7 baby steps. If anything were to happen to me, I have a guide that I can leave for my family. It is because of podcasts that I have been exposed to many different points of view, and conversations that make me laugh. It was because of podcasts that the Let’s Get Weird Studios – Pan’s Kitchen and James and James was born. It is because of my friend and mentor Bird that I was introduced to Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad which opened my mind to the idea of cash flow. It’s because of the culmination of these experiences and ideas that I think of what I can leave for Jill, Evie and beyond. I think of income producing assets, and because of my faith I think of life beyond this life. If I had to narrow my life down to three things it would be: faith, finances, and fighting. My wife is a fighter, and my baby has such a strong will I know that she will fight for what she believes. I believe the House of Hawk can endure because if they cling to those three words then our family will be fine. This month I cut back the payment to the car loan, and we bought an upright freezer, and had an electrical outlet put into our garage. As I told Jill, I am not going to be intense anymore in paying off our debt. I’m going to trust in our ability to work together. Are you willing to change your debt free plan?
