At the end of this year, I look back and reflect on what has happened. We remained consistent with paying down on our last remaining installment loan, and we didn’t take on any new debt. I’d like to have this car paid off but continuing to make the required payments at zero percent interest, I know that we will have this car paid off and be debt free except for the house sooner rather than later. It felt good being able to buy Christmas gifts this year knowing that I had the cash to pay for them and being able to buy gifts that I knew that I had purchased for others vs Jill picking out the gifts and having both of our names on them. This year had its small triumphs such as affording a weekend getaway with Jill and small gifts leading up to her birthday. We bought a new upright freezer and knowing that we paid for these items without the burden of credit card or installment debt makes it easier to breathe. Despite these financial victories, life has brought its challenges to our home. A lot of them are of my own creation, and I question my overall career path. I must trust that the Lord will guide me into His Plan for my life, because my life is a miracle. I’m tired. Do you see the end of your debt free journey?

“The LORD will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.”
