At the end of January, it feels like 2026 is going to be a little different than last year. From a production standpoint, I closed one of the largest loans of my career, but it was also the largest loan for my division. Life is still challenging with my Mom living with us. Her dementia has gotten to place where I must consider and plan placing her into an assisted living facility. Being in debt and now having enough income to properly care for her reminds me that many Americans are facing this scenario. What makes this situation even harder is the fact that we have young children, and it’s not safe for them if her mental and or physical health declines. It’s moments like these where the stress of being a father, husband and son is really too much. Does debt free fit into your stress filled life?
