Communication is the most important key to a healthy relationship. As I’ve said it is just as important to communicate when it comes to finances and financial decisions as you do in every area of your relationship. When you are dating, in a relationship, engaged and married, communicating about finances must be on the table. Money is how your family will ultimately exchange for food, clothing, shelter, and transportation. It’s important to communicate in the area finances about the now and about the future too. It’s because of our agreement and willingness to talk about our finances that we are as financially as strong as we are. This month I finally feel like the Navient student loan is paid off. With the final payment of $3,038.32 into savings the agreed the amount that was drawn from the savings account has been replenished. With this payment we can finally go after our last piece of consumer debt. Even though I didn’t want to get a new car, I am thankful that I was able to get the car at 0% interest, which means ever payment goes directly toward the loan. Knowing this fact, I do feel ok with not being as focused to pay this debt off this year, but I’ve budgeted out to pay it off in November. Using my Financial Pulse, I project out within a 12-month time frame to know how much I will have based on my budget. Based on monthly payments of $2,000.00 we should be able to pay off the Hyundai car loan. I haven’t ever been this close to being debt free before and I’m very hungry to get it done. I want Jill to experience how hard it is to live life and pay debt at the same time just for this debt, and I have expressed my heart behind this situation. Communication and agreement are the a few of the keys to winning in life. Is communication a part of your journey to be debt free?
